Through the latest update, Instagram users on iPhone can now create Instagram widgets on the Lock Screen to speed up access if they want to create Stories.

You can follow these steps to find out.
- Adding Instagram Widgets on Lock Screen
- Navigate to lock screen
- When the lock screen status is open (and not yet entered the home screen page), tap and hold the lock screen until the Customize option appears
- Tap on the Lock Screen option
- Tap the Add Widgets option
- Then add the Instagram widget
When finished, then you can access the widget from the lock screen to directly access Instagram Stories.
If you don't have the Instagram widget option yet, check Instagram updates in the App Store.
