Devices that can use AirDrop
Firstly, make sure your Apple device supports the AirDrop feature. This applies to both the source device and the receiving device.

- Macs released in 2012 or above (excluding MacBook Pro released in mid-2012) using OS X Yosemite or above.
- iPhone/iPad/iPod using iOS/iPadOS 7 or above.

Setting AirDrop Settings
Make sure you have allowed your iPhone to receive AirDrops from other devices. You can set to receive AirDrops from your contacts or from all devices.
Make sure Bluetooth and WiFi are on
For quick access, you can open it through the Control Centre and then turn on WiFi and Bluetooth. Because both must be switched on if you want to use AirDrop.
Restart iPhone
This is the most basic thing you can do if you're having trouble with your iPhone, no matter what the issue is. Go to Settings > General, then swipe to the bottom and tap the Shutdown option, swipe from left to right to shut down the iPhone.
Reset Network
You can easily reset your network settings through the Settings page. This can help you if you experience problems related to network connectivity, including AirDrop. You can read more here.

Reset iPhone
This is the last resort if none of the above help. This method will restore all settings to the beginning and will delete all existing apps and data. So before doing this method, make sure you have backed up your data to iCloud or iTunes.
- Go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
Take to Apple Service Centre
If all of the above methods still don't help, there may be a hardware problem. For that, you can bring your iPhone device to a Service Centre such as iBox or a 3rd party.
