How to restrict app access to photos on the iPhone
Starting with iPhone iOS 14, Apple has made privacy improvements by allowing users to determine who can access photos.
Previously, in iOS 13, when a third-party app requested permission to access Photos, the only options offered were denied or allowed.
In iOS 14, you have additional options, namely only completing the app to access certain photos.

Restrict app access to photos on iPhone
Install photo-related apps, for example, Instagram. Then, when you have just opened the app, you will be asked for permission to access Photos, tap the Select photos option.
Choose which images are accessible, you can do a search or open an album. If you have done so, tap Done.
That way, the application can only access certain photos. Later, if you want to change this setting again, you can do so via Settings.
- Go to Settings.
- Touch Privacy > Photos.
- Touch an application.
- Then select the access rights you want.
