Since iOS 13, Apple has introduced the Files application which supports compressing and decompressing files in the ZIP format.

Compress Files on iPhone
- Open the Files app.
- Tap and hold on to one of the files then tap the Compress option.
Decompress Files on iPhone
- Open the Files app.
- Tap and hold on to one of the ZIP files then tap the Uncompress option.
- The results of the compressed file will appear in the same folder as the compressed file.
